An autumnal ispiration shooting – Lake Braies and its colourful beauty

I’m love with film, with the feelings that only an analog camera can give you. It’s not really a technical matter, but dealing with film makes me a better photographer.
Usually, talking about wedding film photography leads to the definition of “Fine-art wedding photographer“. It’s just a definition, but it tells that the medium (the film) leads to a different approach to photography: more attention to details and a more accurate planninig and well ahead of the moment you press the shutter.
The photographer becomes more a kind of a director rather than an executor.
It’ s really exciting when you receive an email that tells you that your scans are ready. A kind of excitement that makes you feel like a kid!

Talking about this particular shooting, the location (lake Braies) it’s really one of those that are usually brilliant, but with the colours of this past autumn it’s really outstanding.
The day was great, the weather too and the collaboration with the beautiful Sara led to a set of great pictures.

Sono assolutamente innamorato della pellicola e del sentimento che solo una fotocamera analogica può darti. Non è tanto una questione tecnica, ma penso che scattare in pellicola mi renda semplicemente un fotografo migliore.
Di solito, chi si occupa di fotografia matrimoniale in pellicola, viene definito “Fine-art wedding photographer”. E’ solamente una definizione, ma dice anche che il mezzo (la pellicola) porti ad un differente approccio alla fotografia: più attenzione ai dettagli e una pianificazione più accurata e il tutto ben prima che la fotografia venga scattata.
Il fotografo diventa più una sorta di Regista piuttosto che un mero esecutore.
E’ una cosa veramente eccitante quando si riceve una email che dice che le scansioni sono pronte. Un tipo di eccitazione che ti fa sentire realmente un bambino.

Tornando a parlare di questo shooting in particolare, la location (il lago di Braies) è uno di quei luoghi che è molto bello in ogni stagione, ma con i colori dell’autunno diventa veramente incredibile. La giornata e il tempo atmosferico sono stati meravigliosi. La collaborazione con la bellissima Sara ha poi portato ad una serie di fotografie veramente piacevoli.
